Evelyn Leigh Evelyn Leigh is a medical writer and botanical specialist with more than 16 years experience writing educational and promotional materials for health care professionals and the general public. As Editorial Director of the Herb Research Foundation, she oversees the production of all publications and manages the writing, editing, and peer-review process for the research reviews section of the quarterly journal HerbalGram. She is co-author of The Encyclopedia of Popular Herbs (Prima Publishing, 2000), is a frequent contributor to HerbalGram and Herbs for Health magazines, and has written a wide variety of consumer and professional educational materials on both alternative and conventional health topics. With extensive experience in natural product and pharmaceutical marketing, Ms. Leigh has a strong working knowledge of the regulatory issues surrounding dietary supplements, functional foods, over-the-counter drugs, and prescription pharmaceuticals. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she holds a BA from William Smith College, Geneva, NY, and certification from the California School of Herbal Studies, Forestville, CA. She has also completed Purdue Universitys intensive program, An International Training Program in New Crops: Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.
