Results
of Stanford study on complementary medicine encouraging. According to a study
conducted by the Stanford Center for Research in Disease Prevention
(SCRDP), 69% of Americans used some form of complementary medicine in
the last year, in addition to an average of four visits to a traditional
MD. The results were presented at the conference "Complementary and
Alternative Medicine: Scientific Evidence and Steps Toward Integration"
on September 18, 1998. One-third of the respondents also reported that
