FDA and FTC surf the web for deceptive supplements claims |

Since September, 1997, the FDA, FTC, and other agencies have spent two days on the internet, searching for misleading supplements claims. To date, more than 1,200 warnings have been e-mailed to websites, prompting some of these sites to modify claims or to disappear altogether. Though the FDA has not formalized its policy regarding supplement sales on the internet, some sites have chosen to separate their e-commerce and information sites but to provide a link between the two. | ||
